Panel Members

Get involved with Ageing Well Torbay, and help us make Torbay a better place for older people to live in.

We need people just like you to sit on our Programme Board, to join the Older People’s Assembly and to decide what gets funded by the Innovation Fund.

We are currently recruiting for a Co-Chair and Lay Members of the Programme Board:

Lay members of the Board help to hold the programme team to account for the programme’s mission and vision, as well as acting as ambassadors for the programme. The Co-Chair role is similar but when the Chair is not available, the Co-Chair will undertake the duties of the Programme Board Chair, with appropriate support from the Programme Director and Programme Manager.

Both roles require attendance at the quarterly Ageing Well Torbay Programme Board meetings, which usually are on a Tuesday afternoon for approximately 3 hours, plus preparation for the meeting, about 1-2 hours reading.

The Board are particularly keen to hear from potential members who have knowledge or experience of dementia, or disability, or long term health conditions.
