Next Steps – Paignton
Have you ever stopped to think what you wish you had known before you retired? Downsized? Before you became a carer or your mobility changed? Or are there things you are thinking about now, before you retire? What advice would you give others?
We want to pull together an ‘experts by experience guide’ that revolves around Next Steps…preparing for later life. We need a variety of voices and experiences so what you think is important.
We will be holding events to explore the subject and gather your thoughts – we want to curate a guide that will be a legacy for Torbay and for future generations.
Interested in being involved? For more info on the Next Steps project, email David Gledhill at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone 01803 212638.

Oldway Mansion open days
Oldway is being opened to the public on the 6th and 7th April 2019, 10am-5pm. Very limited parking, so please use public transport or walk. As well as seeing the beautiful interior, you will have the opportunity to make a donation for the restoration project. This beautiful building, completed in 1873 was inspired by the Place de la Concorde in Paris, and has been empty for seven years, while gradually deteriorating. Following the failed attempt to turn Olwday into a hotel, now, finally, there is hope on the horizon, as a rescue plan has been approved by Torbay Council.
